Giving back is so important to my husband and I.

I’ve mentioned several organizations we’re involved with and I’d like to share another. About a year ago, my good friend Alison Haislip asked me to fill in for her at a charity event she was set to emcee. I was more than happy to co-host the Homes 4 Families Builders Ball. I learned a lot about the foundation, which enlists the help of volunteers to build homes for veterans.

Altruism, engage!

After the event, Drew and I were inspired to do more, so we volunteered for a build last March. We laid the foundation and set the framework for the future home of a veteran named Mark Johnson. I documented the process. Check it out here:

Amy Paffrath and Drew Seeley spend the day building a home for Veteran Mark Johnson with Homes 4 Families, an organization that has built more than 144 homes for servicemen and their families since 2008. This interview originally aired on Amy’s feel-good talk show, What’s Good?!

On March 19th, we will join forces with Celebs4Vets once again, to put the finishing touches on Mark’s house. It’s nice to give money to good causes, but donating time is always so rewarding. We’re happy to provide a little ‘sweat equity’ to make a big difference for Mark’s family. If you feel so inclined, we’ve got a fundraising page going. The organization relies on donations to fund the builds.

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page!Donating through this website is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to support my fundraising efforts. Many thanks for your support — and don’t forget to forward this to anyone who you think might want to donate too!

There are many great causes but it’s undeniable that our Veterans deserve our support. I can’t wait to see Mark’s new home. And his smiling face when he walks through the front door.
