We did some of the work for you when it comes to researching the non-profit organizations taking part in our competition.

We’d be flattered if you simply took our word for it and made your giving decisions based upon the data located on our standings page, but this is your money, in the end.

For those of you who are inclined to do your own digging on the non-profits included here at Do-Goodery, there are fortunately plenty of resources online for you to explore.

For a curious would-be giver, the first spot to stop could be Charity Navigator. This site generates its own metrics and ratings to judge the health and worthiness of countless non-profits across the country. We won’t be offended if you use their determinations to make a call on our standings!

Then there’s the more insider-y GuideStar. Tailored toward those involved in the non-profit world — or those interested in joining it — GuideStar nonetheless contains plenty of public information about the nature of the industry in the form of reports, publications and other literature.
